Urban Mapz required a website that was visually appealing, taking online directories to the next level.

To date we have been involved in the planning and technical development of the website, which is built in PHP/CodeIgniter with a MySQL database. A data exchange layer was developed for supplying data as XML to a series of flash movies.

A bespoke solution was required to aid with usability to provide staff members with an easy to use, intuitive interface designed around the website. To aid this, a bespoke CMS was written to allow Urban Mapz to categorise stores and services, create maps and to control the entire website in a hierarchical way.

This is an ongoing project, with the aim for the website to provide information about shops and services from all over the UK and beyond. Our advisor/consultant role enables us to use our skills and experience to provide technical solutions to help develop and move the business forward.
